Pianiste explorateur

Coming from Martinique in the French West Indies, Hervé trained on classical piano from the age of 7, and after introducing traditional West Indian pieces in to his classical repertoire, he began exploring jazz and improvisation.
After settling in Paris in the ’90’s, he worked extensively as an arranger, producer and performer, working internationally with the likes of
Boy G Mendes, Ballou Canta, Sally Nyolo, Cabo Verde Show, Dédé St Prix and others…
In 2014 Herve released his first solo album, which reflected his unique blend of the traditional bèlè style with contemporary jazz.
His latest album, ‘Colombo’ is an invocation to the Amerindian ancestors, a tribute to the “kouli”, the New Orleans groove, classic flights, and jazz … in short, Creole music !
